Turn spaces into DAGs #63
Comments
@Gozala - I'm moving this to Icebox. If we do something like this, it should be driven by a pressing user need with high impact on user/network value. This sounds like an interesting idea that could provide some useful properties and we could keep it around in case we do connect it to a high priority product need. |
@reidlw the high priority needs to connect this with are mutability (i.e. buckets, which are basically spaces with named value) and the ability to store spaces on platforms other than AWS. both require changing how we store spaces, and a DAG would be ideal. also though, @alanshaw already did a version of this for local.storage. My suggestion here is it's fine to move this to icebox, but let's backlog a design session on mutability cause I think @prodalex is hoping we can jumpstart that story soon. |
@hannahhoward ok thanks, mutability is in important thing we should be tracking. How should we handle this one? I just put #66 in the backlog. I'd probably close it. We're not going to forget that this is a fundamental mechanism for achieving mutability. I'm biasing for minimal backlog clutter. @Gozala ? |
I'm closing this in favor of #66 |
