Plans for places actions?

What are the current plans for implementing places actions such as adding a place and deleting a place. I see they are on the agenda but where on the list are they and how soon is it expected to be added?

I'm not so familiar with creating node packages or I would attempt to jump in myself and help add it.

I am working on messing with it now actually, one thing though you might be able to point me in the right direction for.

When creating a server api key in the google developers area what IP address(s) should I be adding so that requests from my node app work on my local machine?

Thats pretty simple, your WAN facing IP. So if you use a router whatever IP address your router receives from the Modem.
