Become a sponsor to Kristen Pol
Hello! My name is Kristen... though some people call me KP and my brothers still call me Kristi :) I grew up and currently still live in California. During the 2020/2021 pandemic, I've spent most of my time in Coarsegold, California, which is about an hour from Yosemite. But, we are hoping to move back to our normal home in Santa Cruz where it's closer to the ocean and thus much cooler.
I've been fortunate enough to travel many places in the world and enjoy travel, nature, and photography. I have two sons who are into online games, digital media, and (sometimes) coding. My husband is a Physics professor at UC Santa Cruz. Suffice to say, we have a very nerdy household. :)
I've been doing Drupal since 2004 and have contributed to the Drupal project for many years. I've written a book on Drupal internationalization and was involved with the Drupal 8 Multilingual Initiative (D8MI). Most recently I've been mentoring and helping with the Bug Smash and Drupal 10 Readiness Initiatives.
I'm exploring sponsorship because, like many, I find myself torn between paid work and open source contribution. I would like to find a sustainable way to continue my contribution efforts. Any funds collected will be simply used to pay for my time to help the Drupal project move forward.
