👋

I'm James Sumners. One of my hobbies is contributing to open source. Originally, I never intended to enroll in the GitHub sponsorships program because I didn't want to make myself beholden to anyone in regard to this hobby of mine. However, I changed my mind when a project I use implemented a significant feature request and the author did not have any method for me to send them a thank you contribution. It occurred to me that there may be people out there that have felt the same way about the work I have done, and continue to do, that enables them to get things accomplished. So I decided to enroll in the GitHub sponsorship program to give such people a means to recognize my work with monetary contributions.

Please recognize that I consider any sponsorships as recognition for the work I have done and continue to do. I do not view them as a means to make me work on specific projects on a specific schedule, unless we have had a prior discussion about a sponsorship payment being for a specific commission.
