Hello! 👋
My name is Karim Ratib. I consider myself a software "craftsman": professional programmer, architect, tinkerer, learner, speculator, etc.
I'm also a lifelong music fan, learner and player. I have a vision of open Web tools that help musicians collaborate on their music sheets, including display, playback, collaborative annotation, all the way to real-time score tracking in live situations. Having a mixed background, I also feel strongly about "music internationalization": to inject our music software with the ability to handle non-Western music systems, including notation, tunings, rhythms, soundfonts.
You can read about this work on my blog, and follow my current explorations on my project board. I'd love to hear from potential sponsors who share the same interests and values!

SelectIf you have specific projects where you think my expertise on Web-based music applications will be of value, I will dedicate 20 hours / month to implement your bug reports or feature requests, provided that the resulting code can go back into my repos (existing or new). I'm also happy to spend part of that time on mentorship or pair-programming sessions.
