My name is Amadeusz Winogrodzki, I am a full stack developer with 12+ years of commercial experience, based in Wrocław, Poland. I specialise in TypeScript, React and Node.js, but have lots of experience in other areas, such as DevOps, CI+CD, architecture, software development practices and various languages (Java, Kotlin, C, Swift).

At present moment I am a main contributor to next-firebase-auth-edge library.

I started next-firebase-auth-edge simply because there was no other library that would support Firebase Authentication in Next.js Middleware. I desperately needed to migrate my pet projects to new Next.js architecture and had enough confidence to take on the challenge. The PoC had very positive feedback from developers and thanks to other contributors I managed to turn it into feature-rich and easily configurable authentication library.

The aim of this library is to always stay up-to-date with latest Next.js features while providing simplicity and security.

Even though the library covers most popular use cases, there are plenty integrations, features or tooling to be added.

The funds from sponsorship will be spent mainly on infrastructure needed to run different examples and documentation, as well as UI, UX and DX improvements.
