Comparison to splunk-otel-collector-chart

Hi, would it be possible to outline the differences between this chart and https://github.com/signalfx/splunk-otel-collector-chart? Both seem in active development and achieve similar things. As a new user its incredibly confusing getting started experience. Now that https://github.com/signalfx/splunk-otel-collector-chart supports splunk enterprise via HEC, which should be considered the authoritative means of collecting from k8 for splunk enterprise? What does this project aim to achieve that https://github.com/signalfx/splunk-otel-collector-chart does not?

A note in the README re this would be hugely valuable.

Hi @gingerwizard, our intention with this repo is to test drive very specific functionality with the intention of adding it to the https://github.com/signalfx/splunk-otel-collector-chart. We have been folding our learnings in to that repo recently and expect to finish that work soon, at which point this repo will be redundant.

The https://github.com/signalfx/splunk-otel-collector-chart will be the official means of collecting from K8s for Splunk platform.

I take your point in that we do not have this info in our README, and I will make sure we clean that up. I will leave this Issue open to track that update.
