If you use w3c/WD as a status instead of just WD (for instance because your group isn't registered yet), the This version link will be generated incorrectly. Instead of the expected https://www.w3.org/TR/YYY/WD-html-ruby-extensions-YYYMDD/ you get https://www.w3.org/TR/YYY/w3c/WD-html-ruby-extensions-YYYMDD/
