In an effort to ensure tracking was consistently applied across a site and through our checkout process, the Google Analytics and Mixpanel tracking code was wrapped in sparkart.js. The problem with this approach however is that the presence of the code is not evident unless one looks for it's presence. In an unfortunate incident on youngmoney.com, this led to bad data being collected for an extended period of time.
We're going to need to figure out another way this time around. For starters let's figure out what exactly is required for referral/funnel tracking from a site through our checkout process (which involves switching domains).
