Login failures should not distinguish between wrong password and wrong username #316

"No user with this username exists" vs "The provided password is wrong"

This was helpful when I was trying to debug why a student couldn't sign into their account, but it's a bit against security best practices (ex: https://security.stackexchange.com/questions/17816/username-and-or-password-invalid-why-do-websites-show-this-kind-of-message-i)
