I had the same question. I love this thing! It's way easier for me to use than Vim. I'm a designer who is new to coding and I really like this project.

I switched to slap because I wasn't a fan of vim, and for some reason I can't edit my .bashrc files with VScode. I think that might be because I have vscode installed on Windows, and I'm running my bash stuff inside of the Linux Subsystem layer for Windows, which is cli only. But now I've got Slap so that's great!
