Symfony dependencies using old versions preventing use of other libraries #55

Hi team. This module is necessary for any Silverstripe install. While the Symfony finder and yaml components being set at version constraint "^3.4 || ^4.0" are technically still supported by a 4.4 version, that's quite aged (and 3.4 being well beyond eol). Current version is 6.x with 5.x tracks for each.

This is preventing use of other libraries through the broader PHP ecosystem in a Silverstripe project, as these libs are using 6.x or at least at a minimum 5.x.

Can this please be reviewed. I'm unfamiliar with the inners of these modules and what effort is involved in at least support 5.x, and can appreciate there might be some work involved. But given the team's recent push to keep up to date / drop support / stay in sync with broader ecosystem EOLs I'm hoping that you're giving equal attention to lifting support as these libraries lift their versions too. Not immediately - but hopefully surely after major is bumped twice.

Example library: https://github.com/PHLAK/Splat

Cheers.

Thanks @dizzystuff, there’s some discussion about this happening in silverstripe/silverstripe-framework#10220. I’m going to close this in favour of that issue so it all stays in one place 😄
