Tried both install methods described and executable states files could not be found at mnt/RgQuake/id1. When putting files there, or symlinking the executable then reports that files could not be found at media/sdcard/Quake/id1. I have thenesis quake installed and it works normally, therefore its not an issue of the files not being where they should be.

Thanks for reporting, I don't have rogue firmware on my machine yet so I haven't tried it. In theory things should work correctly if you've set up thenesis and rgquake the same way. I don't know how symlinks play into it. The path the error prints out isn't always reliable, there's some edge cases where it shows wrong dir. I can help more after I try rogue
another person on the forum had the same issue but it was resolved by changing from PAK0.PAK to pak0.pak. linux is case sensitive with filenames like that.
I'll try to remember to search for both in a future version I guess
