It would be nice to backup and restore the app configuration with an external file. This way, one can manually sync configurations between devices

what would the configuration store? what type of settings would you like saved?

I was thinking about the UI config (progress options, feed, maps provider selection, etc), maybe feed sync job configuration, etc. Whatever is easy to implement honestly :)

sounds good. will add this as a feature for after the public release.
