Hey, I am trying to install on ubuntu 14.04, I had to use sudo, do to permissions issues mentioned. It installed successfully, however now when I run the the command it gives the error:
/usr/bin/env: node: No such file or directory

Some Linux distributions installs NodeJS as nodejs and not node. Simply create a link as
ln -s /usr/bin/nodejs /usr/bin/node
nodejs/node-v0.x-archive#3911 (comment)

Unfortunately seems hard to fix that for all platforms.
