Kulliyāt-e-Ghalib (web book)

A mobile phone, a tablet, and a laptop computer showing the first ghazal from Kulliyāt-e-Ghalib (web book). On the mobile phone, the ghazal appears in a single, justified column. On the tablet, lines of each couplet of the ghazal are set in two consecutive rows, with the first line on the right, the second line on the left, and both justified to an equal width with some horizontal overlap; the lines of the last couplet are center-aligned. On the laptop, each couplet is set in a single row, while its two lines making two equal-width, justified columns; the last couplet is center-aligned and its lines are on consecutive rows.

This is the source of Kulliyāt-e-Ghalib, a web book of Ghalib's Urdu poetry.

Local setup

This web book is made with Pollen. To run it locally on your machine:

  1. Install Pollen (instructions).
  2. Clone or download this repo, and cd into its directory.
  3. Run raco pollen start and visit http://localhost:8080/ in your browser.

Ghalib's poetry is in public domain, and the content of this web book is released under the CC0 1.0 Universal Public Domain Dedication.
