It's been quite some time since the latest release (back in 2019). It looks like the current 0.7.19 release lacks several fixes that have already been fixed/merged into master, one of which
I see as a recurring issue is the use of deprecated egrep instead of grep -E which
is apparent when using newer version of GNU grep (or on distros that don't silently work around the issue by aliasing egrep/fgrep)
$ xsos sosreport-XXXXXXXXXXXX-XXXXXXXXXXX-2023-06-10-XXXXXXXXX/
[...]
egrep: warning: egrep is obsolescent; using grep -E
egrep: warning: egrep is obsolescent; using grep -E

Just need a new version build to get various repos to update their versions of this script.
