After backing up and restoring the courses, the comments within the Moodle activity are not deleted. This leads to different problems. Can you delete the content (comments, questions, likes, etc.) after restoring the course environment, as is the case with forums, glossaries and other Moodle activities?

Hi,
we added this to our backlog, but we won't implement it in the near future

Kind regards
Friederike

I am happy to see that this feature is at least in the backlog. However, I guess it is complicated to realize and therefore you already stated that you won't implement it in the near future.

However, I suggest to at least implement a different solution. It might be easier to realise and therefore I hope that we will get a solution earlier. In addition, the suggested feature might be useful in other situations:

I suggest to either implement a "delete all comments"-button in the activity. Or to implement a checkbox in the comments-overview section and to allow to select comments and delete selected comments. This would at least allow an easy manual reset of all documents that were copied from one course to another. We usually copy courses from one term to another. Sometimes the copied pdf annotator activities include a lot of comments. And at the moment each comment has to be deleted manually. A delete all button would save a lot of time even during a manual reset.
