My distro (Nixpkgs) includes zlib-ng with a zlib-ng.pc file. It would be nice if my system zlib-ng could be used, rather than building a new zlib-ng from source (and needing to have cmake available).

👍 We should support this in libz-ng-sys.

Alpine Linux also provides zlib-ng package.
