Hello there .
We are a group of students trying to build a few torn keyboards.
We got all the required parts and got to flash the bootloader to atmel chips yesterday.

However in this step, we get a no such rule error

You can then program QMK using:
make torn:via:flash

We tried looking at the provided link to no avail.
Is there anything we could have misunderstood ?
thanks

VIA keymaps are no longer held in the main QMK git repository.

You will need to either compile a default one, write your own one, or follow the instructions to add the VIA userspace repository.

thanks for the quick reply, perhaps would be great to remove that information from the repo. Thanks

we did compile a default one but couldn't get it to communicate with the bootloader in the flashing process. I will open a new issue when I gather the exact steps taken
