Great package!
Is it possible to add e.g. radioboxes to an htmlwidget embedded in an html document rendered by r markdown? I mean can it be added to the rendered html page without using shiny? I haven't succeeded yet in doing so, but is it even possible?

Kind regards

Hello,
Sadly, it is not possible and will never be. You have two options to perform what you want to do:

  • Use the "runtime: shiny" option in your Rmarkdown file (like in this example). But if you want to share your document, you will have to deploy it on a shiny server or ask people to "run" the document with R.
  • If you just need some very basic interactivity and you only use packages leaflet, DT and plotly for your visualization, you can use the crosstalk package.
