Description

Rome should work with multiple editors. At first, we can target VSCode, but ideally we should target IntelliJ (and other JetBrains IDEs), Vim, Emacs, etc.

Form this survey, this order should be JetBrains IDEs > Vim(neovim etc.) > Emacs

Probably we will hold the developments of JetBrains IDEs because they don't support LSP, which means that we will need to double the effort.

I'm not sure about LSP support in JetBrains. Check https://github.com/tomblachut/svelte-intellij it actually works, and probably JetBrains is much more popular comparing to VIM

Since rome_lsp is a language server, it could suppor neovim with some simple setup.
I will write a document about neovim setup sooner.

It would be cool if Rome was available in Lapce, a Rust based editor. However I understand if it's not a priority due to how new that editor is, and the fact that it doesn't have that many users yet.

Do you know if there's any resource that explains how to write a plugin for this editor?

Not at the moment. Lapce is still in pre-alpha and the documentation isn't complete. So it would probably be worth it to wait a while before attempting to create a plugin. The editor looks promising though, so I'm hopeful.

Sure, sounds interesting! I still need to understand how to integrate Rome in these editors, so having a something would help
