How to use the pinpad?

I wish to know where we can find examples of using pinpad.
The Roku documentation is far less than nothing about this (and many other things). Most of docs are old.
In this example, there is no indication on how to receive the numbers the user enter in pinpad's keyboard.
How to know that the 4 (or 6) digits have been entered?
I am. trying to find this answer for the last 3 days.
