Editor Background Different Color Than Gutter, Not Getting Glow Effect

As the title states the main background of my editor is a different color than the gutter and doesn't seem to be getting the cool gradient when the glow is enabled nor the correct purple color. When removing the glow the gutter and editor match, but it still doesn't seem to be the right purple color based on screenshots of the theme. I don't have anything in my settings.json affecting editor background color and it seems to change when selecting other themes so it's not like it's always just stuck on that one color. Any thoughts on how to fix?
