Project status? #22
Comments
Hi @coatless, Obviously I can't speak for everyone, but I think your assessment of this package as "dormant" is accurate (it was a project we did at the rOpenSci unconf in 2017). FWIW, I'd go with forking. |
Just wanted to second interest in this package. Finding it very useful for monitoring automated Markdown reports etc. I would be interested in doing some of the development work necessary to get this to CRAN - just need pointing in the right direction in terms of work that needs doing. Alternatively once I get a free weekend I will go through the issues and go on from there. Thanks for all the great work :) |
Thanks @coatless , I'm thrilled you're taking this on! |
Sorry all for the lack of response. I've been super busy with other stuff, and although this was a really great idea at the time, I haven't found much personal use for the package, and therefore can't justify the personal time to devote to it. I would be more than happy to see someone else take it over and get it CRAN worthy and ready. |
Greetings and Salutations folks,
I'm wondering what the project status is. I'd love to use this as part of my testing infrastructure for exercises students do. My interest in this project is largely because unit tests are placed internal with easy status updates. Furthermore, there is support for multiple testing frameworks and it has a far lower the barrier of entry for understanding unit tests.
However, I'm unsure if this project will be revisited as its been dormant for over a year. Are there any plans to revisit it and perhaps promote it to CRAN? Otherwise, would it be okay to fork the project?
Sincerely,
JJB
