in regards to fonts resizing themselves:

This appears to be an issue with TinyMCE. Version 3 is deprecated, but we can't upgrade because our code for loading media into posts only works with version 3.

I've searched for a quick fix, no luck so far. Adapting the blog backend to use a different editor is a major coding task.
