Some unlocked devices can't retain the L1 drm security which results in 480p cap on content in netflix this should remove that restriction and stream fhd content regardless .

Motivation

A lot of people unlock there phone so they can use a custom rom or something to unleash the full potential of their device and many oems unlike Xiaomi takes away the L1 drm security after unlocking . it would help a lot people with unlocked devices

Widevine DRM uses utilizes TEE hardware, which checks things like bootloader unlock status, so this is not possible with a software patch.

someone on xda made a patch before tho , it used to work but that patch doesnt works for new versions anymore

Likey it works for older version of the app, not the newer versions. Unrealistic patch, closing therefor
