Details

  • Read the Docs project URL: https://rtfd.io/
  • Build URL (if applicable):
  • Read the Docs username (if applicable):

Expected Result

Browser follows redirect, as in case of http://

Actual Result

Browser shows a scary red warning to the user.
Details reveal the following:

This server could not prove that it is rtfd.io; its security certificate is from *.readthedocs.org. This may be caused by a misconfiguration or an attacker intercepting your connection.

Clearly you'd want to serve a correct certificate or disable listening to 443 for that domain configs.
