Modified to be a date slider and slider feature

Could this be modified to be a date range slider? Also, could it be possible to have a manual enter box so instead of sliding to the number you want you could enter it in manually and the slider would go there.

I was looking into extending the range finder for time filtering but ran into a couple of problems. First, how would you make the time range larger then the initial bounds? What happens if you have a very large time range? How do you accurately set the desired times down to the minute or second?

Since I could not answer any of these, I just created a separate plugin for time manipulation.
