Cattle-node-agent-windows pods keep restarting on a windows RKE1 downstream cluster on a rancher HA setup #34066

Rancher Server Setup

  • Rancher version: 2.6-head commit id: 4b6af95
  • Installation option (Docker install/Helm Chart): Helm
    • If Helm Chart, Kubernetes Cluster and version (RKE1, RKE2, k3s, EKS, etc): RKE1 - 1.21.3
  • Proxy/Cert Details:Rancher generated

Information about the Cluster

  • Kubernetes version: 1.21.3
  • Cluster Type (Local/Downstream): Downstream custom windows

Describe the bug
Cattle-node-agent-windows pods keep restarting on a windows downstream cluster on a rancher HA setup

To Reproduce

  • Deploy a windows RKE1 - 1 linux worker, 1 linux etcd, 1 linux control plane, 3 windows worker nodes (Issue is seen on 2004, 2019 and 20h2 windows)
  • Error seen in the pods:
FATA: https://<rancher-server> is not accessible

Expected Result
Node agents should come up Active

On 2.6-head commit id: d3ec40fee and master-head commit id: 121323a

  • Windows 2019 RKE1 cluster deploys successfully.
  • Cattle node agent windows pods are up and active.
