I know about it. this is the reason I removed my last extension and didn't want to update it.
I do not know how to do that.
Now in ver v2, an html file is included that contains a list of required .js files
in v3, Google offers to make a service worker and connect requirements files through it

If you do not know how to port the extension, then I will publish the current ver.
So off the top of my head I don't know how to port the extension either, but there is still some time left for the update (see quote below). Until then, I'll try to take a closer look at how exactly the update to version 3 works. If you like you can still publish the latest version 2 in the meantime, it still seems to work.
There are two key dates for the phase-out:
January 17, 2022: New Manifest V2 extensions will no longer be accepted by the Chrome Web Store. Developers may still push updates to existing Manifest V2 extensions, but no new Manifest V2 items may be submitted.
January 2023: The Chrome browser will no longer run Manifest V2 extensions. Developers may no longer push updates to existing Manifest V2 extensions.
