[Bug]: Not able to install app properly in MacOS Somona (14.0) #2980

Before submitting your bug report, please confirm you have completed the following steps

Bug description

Installed quicksilver 2.4.1. from scratch and did not get beyond the first "continue" screen.
The app executes without proper installation and renders non working.

Steps to reproduce

  1. start
  2. continue
  3. force quit continue with 1

Expected behavior

installer should finsh all steps

Would love to hear if anyone finds a fix! I've been using Quicksilver with Sonoma on my other Mac, but am not able to install it on my current Mac.

I've also tried version 2.4.0 and 2.2.0 in addition to 2.4.1, and those have all had the same issue too.

My friend is also unable to install on their Mac with Sonoma 14.1.2. I have Sonoma 14.0.

@juesato Can you try this defaults write command in Terminal and then try an install? #2962 (comment)

@n8henrie That worked, thank you so much!

I think you may have already guessed this, but before (when Quicksilver was hanging) the initial setup prompt showed up in the top-left corner, as in the issue you linked, whereas after the command, it appeared in the middle of the screen.

For others, just ran the defaults write command linked above, uninstalled Quicksilver, and re-installed from the official Downloads page (2.4.1).
