More information about setting up this tracking model would be really useful. Specifically, I'd like to know how the system deals with data that doesn't come in with equally spaced time steps (dt=1 always?), or how one defines a variable transition matrix to model this. Is that possible with this code?

We're adding some more documentation about setting up the config files. The short answer is: this isn't supported currently. No reason why it couldn't be added though.
It's unlikely that I will have time to do this. It would require some engineering effort to add variable terms to the motion model config, passing those to the shared library and then setting up the Kalman filter correctly.
