About the project

This project has been actively maintained on GitHub for two years. It consists of a Python interface for the KratosMultiphysics (https://github.com/KratosMultiphysics/Kratos) framework. KratosMultiphysics is a framework for building finite element analysis applications.

Our work involves extending the core functionalities of KratosMultiphysics, introducing custom modifications, and building Python wheels that incorporate these enhancements. We would like to distribute these wheels via PyPI.

This project, named StemKratos, is a critical dependency for a larger project called STEM (https://github.com/stemVibrations/stem)). STEM is a Python-based tool designed to facilitate 3D finite element analysis of railway induced vibrations, using KratosMultiphysics.

Due to the size of Kratos Multiphysics, the current size limit on PyPI is insufficient for our needs.

Reasons for the request

The size of the KratosMulthiphysics wheels is greater than the 100MB provided by PyPI.
