About the project

NVSHMEM is a Cuda library exposing the OpenSHMEM interface over GPU memory. It has been a product for over 5 years and was integrated to pypi in October of last year.

Reasons for the request

Our package size is expected to increase in the near future as we are adding an LLVM-IR implementation of the NVSHMEM library to be shipped alongside our existing shared object files.

We have tried limiting the size of the bitcode library as much as possible by optimizing it through clang.
