Cypress 4 VM Install Instructions

A virtual machine (VM) is a software implementation of a computer that executes programs like a physical machine. Cypress provides a 64bit VM image that contains a fully installed instance of the Cypress application. This VM can be imported into a Virtual Machine infrastructure like VMWare or VirtualBox. You can download the VM image as an Open Virtualization Format (OVF) file at the following link:

https://s3.amazonaws.com/cypress_public/Cypress_CVU.v4.0.2_Public_VM.ova

Note that the VM is 64-bit and will need to be run on a 64-bit infrastructure and is compatible with VMWare Workstation 11 and 12, VMWare Player 7, VMWare Workstation Player 12, VMWare Fusion 6 - 8, and VirtualBox 5.1.x or higher.

Once you have completed the install, proceed to initial setup.

Note: While Dockerfile and docker-compose.yml files are included in the Cypress v4.0.0RC1 codebase, they are not currently (2017-07-10) functional, and Docker is not yet supported as an installation method for Cypress v4.
