apparently I can't use cargo-deb generated packages with debrepbuild? I was trying to package https://github.com/qmx/cpubars and pointing to a released deb with [[direct]] gives me this error.

[ERROR] debrep: failed to generate dist files: failed to generate distribution files for buster: did not find package + section from control archive

is this a known issue?

There is no support for it here.

so for this idea to even be possible, would you patch cargo-deb or just make debrepbuilder work with this missing information?
