Democracy APIs missing in explorer

Hello,

Functionality to index and display democracy referendums was removed about a year ago in polkascan/polkascan-pre-harvester@480bb84
however on https://polkascan.io/ it still shows up fine (https://polkascan.io/polkadot/democracy/referendum)
Why does it happen? Is polkascan.io using older pre 0.5 version of source code from this repo or is it using newer version which is not open sourced?
And why this change was done? It looks like information which might be useful. Are there plans to implement it in different way?
