It would be a lot easier to contribute support for new games or romhacks if the actual data used was avaliable in the api repo. I looked into it to try and add support for pre-XY games, as well as fix the annoyance myself and many users have had regarding forme support. (#256 #267 #363 #449 #466 #479) but without the actual database being open for contributions, any work I would do coding that in would be limited to a fork.
