Operating System:
MacOS 10.14.2

Browser:
Safari 12.0.2

Problem Description:
Testing 1.0.0-dev.16 (phetsims/qa#263) on MacOS I noticed that Safari gives me the option to zoom in to the sim with my trackpad (Chrome does not) - Safari does not allow any interaction with the sim while zoomed in (consistent with other published sims), but on EFAC when I zoom back out the sim is frozen (with graphics issues as well) and remains frozen for ~15-30 seconds. After this it returns to normal on its own. Looks like this while frozen:

This freeze after zooming back out does not occur on the few published sims I tried it with.

Since the freeze eventually corrects itself, and no interaction is allowed while zoomed, @KatieWoe and @ariel-phet have agreed this should be deferred until after publication.

Steps to reproduce:

Open sim on Safari.

Use trackpad reverse-pinch motion to zoom into part of the sim.

Pinch to zoom out. Sim will be frozen and have graphics issues.

Wait until sim returns to normal.

Just a note - I'm not seeing this issue on my 10.13 machine.

@ariel-phet thinks we can address this if we get feedback related to it, but marking as won't-fix and closing for now.
