Play area goes white when window is resized (special circumstances) #123
Comments
Nice catch Julia, I observed the same thing and have been tracking it in phetsims/joist#114. It should have been resolved 5 hours ago, but that was too late to make it into acid base solutions 1.0.0-rc.2. |
Thanks for fixing. Let's try not to make other changes to joist until ABS 1.0.0-rc.3 is published, so that I can pickup up this fix by substituting joist 'master' for the sha that was used in ABS 1.0.0-rc.2. I don't generally like to do that, but it seems safe in this case and won't necessitate a full test protocol. |
OK, I'll stay out of Joist until I get your go-ahead. (You caught me just in time--I had files staged for commit. Though if something else accidentally gets committed there you could just use this joist sha: 9b8f899) Keep me posted. |
According to @samreid, the fix in joist broken some other things. So we're recommending that ABS 1.0.0 be published with this known issue. It is an issue that affects all other sims, so will be addressed during republishing. And ABS will need to be part of republishing in order to pick up various other new features and fixes that are not yet completed (e.g., license info, new sun buttons) |
Joist should be stable now. The PhET menu is still quirky in that it doesn't move when the window is resized: phetsims/joist#115 But at least it appears at the right size and doesn't crash the sim any longer. |
Closing. This joist fix was picked up before publishing 1.0.0. |
