I know this is a feature needing a lot of work and I do not expect to get it in the next months but I still think it would be important:

Currently, for open sources projects, you can create a job on Pharo-contribution Jenkins (Thank you for this! really helpful), then the artefacts can be downloaded via Pharo Launcher.

Now that we are moving on git, a lot of people start using TravisCI.

I was thinking that maybe we could have a bintray repository where people could deploy the artefact of their projects via the smalltalkCI support and make it available from the launcher? I don't know how doable it would be...

more than maintain a centralised bintray repo... wouldn't be better to add an option to add your own bintray repositories so pharo-launcher can search there? (I imagine as scenario for certain use-cases this is even better than searching a common bintray)

I was thinking about how easy it is to have all main Pharo open source projects directly under "Pharo Contribution" in the launcher.

But yeah, maybe been able to add your own bintray repositories might work aswell.
