took me some time to figure that out, so maybe it'll help people do better if you just quickly update this.

i just found that

[<position>=of <node name>]

appearing in tikzlibrarychains.code.tex :

\tikzset{#1=of \tikzchainprevious}%

-- well, i'm not sure now if this is actually intended, but in any case it broke my installation (chains didn't work). putting

\tikzset{#1 of=\tikzchainprevious}%

fixed it.

Hi!

no, "below=of waiting" is correct. The "below of" option is deprecated, now. So, no, #1=of ... should *not* be changed to #1 of=...

Concerning "chains did not work" please be more specific/file another bug report on whatever the problem may be.
