animated GIFs churn in the upload spinner without resolving. On refreshing the page, it appears it uploads multiple copies as static images. The "magic" gif had a recognizable image. The "chuckwagon" image showed a broken image link icon.

Well, that's interesting. GitHub doesn't like the chuckwagon, either.
