Expose remote serial port to operating system? #2

Is it possible to expose the remote serial port you connect to as a virtual serial port inside the operating system?

I am trying to create a way for other applications on the device to be able to see this remote serial port I connect to as a virtual COM port they can interact with as they would any other native serial port connection. Possible?
