I think there is room for a separate Django library to generate QR codes ties to random uuid url which will redirect to a particular view. (with the option to change it later on.)
Would you be open to the idea of transferring ownership of the namespace django-qrcode on the PyPi network?

this repo is no longer maintained and instead suggests the usage of: https://pypi.org/project/django-qr-code/
https://pypi.org/project/django-qr-code/ is great for generating qr codes in the template
