Strenghten weak cryptographic parameters

When I scan the QR code generated by this application with my Android FreeOTP App (from Red Hat https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.fedorahosted.freeotp ), it gives me a warning about weak kryptographic paramters used by this 2FA-System. The app strongly recommends not to use it.

Can the parameters be optimized to get a better security level and to avoid confusion of users?
