After sharing a file with a user with "can edit" writes, that user's will have that particular file in his Shared folder.
The Shared folder has the following message: "You don't have write permission here". But I could delete and share but not rename.
Operating system: Windows Server 2008 R2 Std
Web server: IIS 7
Database: MSSQL SERVER 2008 STD
PHP version: 5.3.24
ownCloud version: 5.0.7
Browser: Chrome
Operating system: Windows 7
No error in Logs.

@metrogeekythinker Just to make it clear: the shared folder will never be writable because it acts as a container of all shared files/folders.
But finally you are missing the rename functionality - right? AFAIK renaming is not possible @MTGap THX
