If the vision for favorites is to set it on any platform, and then have that status synced with the file across platforms, does it make sense to sync that favorite status to the desktop via the sync client?
How would this work?
For example, Does it make sense for it to show up in the OS finder/explorer/other sidebar?
Should it have a favorite icon?
Should it sync automatically to the desktop?
What happens if someone un-selectively syncs a favorite file on desktop, does the file stay a favorite on all platforms?

It is possible that a favorite on the server is synced with the client, and then the shortcut is displayed in a "favorites" folder as a shortcut, but the file remains in the file tree where it belongs. Of course, this has to be made consistent for edge cases, like when selective sync is deactivated for a file, but that file is a favorite.
