Coherence within the software is really important, especially with buttons and icons behavior. Currently many buttons presents bugs or doesn't behave like their pairs. For instance, sometimes active buttons can be deselected but still be active.
To deal with this issue, many things as to be unified and applied to each buttons :
The behavior on hovering should be the same with color changing, name tag display…
Add variations for active/disabled states on default and on hovering. Update the inspector's description to provide an alternative text for each mode and button states.
Indicate shortcuts associated with each button on hovering (name tag) and in the inspector’s descriptive text.
